The Author/Illustrator

John Dias wrote and illustrated Open Heart, an autobiographical book for children, to share the story of growing up with Nikki, his disabled sister who is determined to learn to walk.

John Dias is a French Immersion elementary school teacher and the president of DIASLEARNING.COM. He has an M.A. in French literature from the University of Toronto.

The free French online learning platform:

John Dias co-founded DIASLEARNING.COM in March 2020 with his father Frank to provide free French lessons during the Covid-19 school lockdowns. This multimedia platform shared diverse educational resources, including interactive French lessons, original eBooks, and art tutorials created by certified French teachers.

Diaslearning.com now reroutes to OpenHeartStory.com. Click on the FRENCH tab of this website's menu to access dozens of free French lessons.

Contact us at info@openheartstory.com for more details or to schedule a meeting with our team. A team of certified French teachers is also available to schedule virtual tutoring sessions (for students in grades 1- 12) upon request.
